Wildlife Population Studies
There are occasions that require a population count of the local wildlife. Such an occasion could be when certain species are endangered or threatened.
A count of the species will need to be accomplished to determine if the local population is improving or declining.
Knowing the population of the local wildlife is a key indicator of conditions that are favorable or unfavorable to the species. Is there a toxic situation that is negatively impacting the species? Is the water supply contaminated beyond what the species can tolerate?
By studying the local species population and trends, management decisions can be made to enhance or maintain the current management plan.
